I just purchased a V&Y SP flatcar kit someone offered for sale. When I opened
the box, I was surprised at the level of detail and what appears to be an easy
assembly. I wish that we could persuade whoever now has taken over the company
to reissue the kits. The kit is reputed to be a model of a SP flatcar. It
also resembles a CGW 3600-series flatcar which was also a 53-foot car.
The SHS car is an outstanding model of a welded flat but is no stand-in for a
riveted prototype.
