GENTS:
A few days ago T.C. Carr, I believe, inquired about how well Rail Master
RS's blended size-wise. I responded that they were right on and that he might
see two of mine, in ATSF, as props in various "S Gaugian" and "Dispatch"
product reviews, an RS 4/5 and erroneously an RS 3. Stupid rabbit; it's an RS 1.

In general, the Sn3 crowd is not particularly interested in associating
with NASG. Here's my substantiation. In '02, with some good support from Terry
Harrison, Don Thompson, Mike Ferraro I represented NASG at the symposium in
Phoenix; new members=1. In '03 with more good support from Jeff Madden and Roy
Meissner I represented NASG at the symposium in St. Louis; new members=1. In
'04 with help from Lee Johnson I represented NASG at the symposium in Pasadena;
new members=1 (That 1 was Jeff Smith who now owns and runs Rail Master in the
USA.). In '05 with the aid of the Bendevers who shared table space I
represented NASG at the symposium in Clearwater; new members=0. In '06 with the
able support of Dick Karnes I represented NASG at the symposium in Bellevue,
WA; new members=0. NASG paid my registrations; that's it. All those mentioned
dragged along models, literature, membership applications, etc. We were
friendly and solicitous. We entered the symposium model contests with Sn3
rolling stock and proto pictures. After Bellevue, I gave up. I should have
given up after Pasadena as my wife came close to bankrupting me at a jewelry
store in Clearwater. I'd rather spend my bucks on kits than traveling all over
to little avail while exposing jewelry stores to my wife's bling appetite.
Incidentally, Don and Marilyn Heimburger are constant symposium vendors.

Along the same line, in a post earlier today Jeff Smith questioned NASG
attendance at NTS. Jeff is a victim of short-term memory loss as he knows we
had a double-booth in Anaheim this past summer. Well, maybe he didn't know
because he was grossly preoccupied with all the traffic at his booth. His cute
little countenance even appeared in the "Dispatch" write up as he worked in the
Rail Master booth.

Harkening back to the days of yore and Charlie Sandersfeld and his Gang of
100, new name for NASG scale side=Gang of 64?
