Just thought I would mention that I watched a trio of PBL slim princesses (S.P. 
narrow gauge #8, #9 and #18) sell for $450 to $550ea. These are premium factory 
painted gems, and while I am a fan of the Carson and Colorado, I am doing S 
standard gauge so I did not bid. The scary thing is how cheaply these sold 
given their pedigree ($1250 a piece when originally sold by PBL. I think that 
high end stuff, for now at least, is a dead issue (if you are a seller) to move 
on Ebay.

Having just sold off all my HO, most of it to friends, I watched the three 
pieces of HO brass I sold on ebay, all PFM, fetch twenty percent under what the 
brown book value was. I think this is a comment, better than anything on CNBC 
financial news, regarding the state of the economy. I have noticed, however, 
that most of the S Scale kits and locos, listed on Ebay, seem to fetch a fair 
price. This is good place to be...
