Hi all; It appears that Yahoo Groups is planning changes. Some groups have already rolled out, the feed back I have seen is overwhelming negative (which may or may not force them to back off). The consensus seems to be a attempt to look more like Facebook or another social networking site. This hasn't happened to any of the groups I'm on (yet), although one group was apparently changed, then rolled back based on comments on the group.
The Yahoo note about this is found here: http://www.ygroupsblog.com/blog/?p=695 and reads in part "Now, we've turned our attention to a full-on makeover. After all, we know that the way that you stay in touch with your friends and family has changed over the last 10 years it's time that we remodel too. Soon, we will be unveiling a fresh design and new features to help you share and communicate with the people who matter to you most. This will be the first of many improvements in the coming months."
