I actually reworked a Custom Brass Ph III in O scale to represent a Ph IV, ca.
1980, as at that point there had been only the Kidder in the 1950's and the CBR
in the 1970's in O scale, and it was almost impossible to find a Kidder back
then (since which I've now got three of them
with two more having passed through my hands--and lots more options since). I
think I did a creditable job using the X2200S spotting features and prototype
photos, still have the reworked unit. Would NOT do it again, however (nor
would I need to). I am somewhat amazed at all the productivity I did in model
railroading when I was younger, can't seem to get nearly so much done now. I
stalled halfway through installing the handrails on the PA Heritage unit and
can't seem to get around to finishing it.
