Roger,

Let me add my hearty congratulations for your achieving your Master Model
Railroader certificate from the NMRA! Well done! When we spoke last I guess I
didn't realize you were working on it. I whole-heartly support your suggestion
than everyone can benefit by participating in the NMRA Achievement Program,
even if you have no intention of trying to earn enough certificates for MMR.
Most modelers who have built a layout will almost certainly meet the
requirements for one or two of the certificates and earning more will not only
lead to improved modeling skills, but no doubt lead to making some great new
modeling friends (many in other scales) as well. As Roger mentioned, you do
not have to put models in NMRA contests to get judged rather MMR's will come to
your home and do the judging! What could be easier...you don't even have to
remove the structure from the layout if it's already installed. The number of
"S" MMR's is growing nicely. Let's get some more as it really does go a long
way towards legitimizing "S" and exposing "S" to those in the NMRA in other
scales. Again, great job, Roger!

Brooks Stover, MMR #428.
