One obvious source for rolling stock is the former MainLine truss rod kits now 
offered by ye olde huffe and puffe (hideous cutsey name).
Enjoyed them many, many years ago in HO, have a dozen or more in O scale, even 
picked up one now in S scale (although I'm still not
quite sure what I shall do with it after I get around to building it).
