Yes, actually we do hate the state so much we would pay shipping rather
than sales tax. For expensive items that are relatively small, NY sales
tax was way more than shipping. When NY coerced some large on line
retailers to start collecting sales tax I started shipping to my
mother's in PA and picking up during a visit.
This is particularly true on some sites that offer free shipping over a
certain amount, speaking in general, not specifically MRR sites or S sites.
Except for a few sites that try to screw people on shipping charges to
make up for low prices, the trade off is about $100 for shipping to be
lower than sales tax.
