Much of what follows is accumulated "knowledge" from being around S for too
many years. Where I work folks call this "Tribal knowledge", as it is not
written down but passed on as required (not really a good thing...). Sometimes
it is mis-remembered by the person passing it on. If that is the case here I
hope someone will correct me.

SSL&S has not had a "catalog" for some time. I think their current focus is on
developing limited run kits like the CN 2-6-0. I do not think they are
currently offering the former line of parts.

Andy Mallett has some very nice steam engine parts on his web site, MLW models.
They are from his CN locomotive projects. Most have a photo and dimensions.

On3 parts are available from Precision Scale. They do not provide an on-line
catalog but require you to buy their printed catalog (not cheap) to find the
drawings of the parts and part numbers. If you can find an old Walthers catalog
that lists the Kemtron parts that might suffice. Not ideal, but the way it is.

Wiseman Model Services has some Sn3 and On3 parts. I think he has the old
Tomalco Sn3 parts (not Tomalco track) some of which may be useful.

Grandt line has some On3 parts, most are illustrated on their web site.

Boulder Valley Models has On30 parts, most resin or white metal, some of which
may work in your projects. A few other On30 sources are out there if you sniff
around the narrow gauge groups.

Welcome to S, did someone say it stood for "secret"?

I don't think there is enough market for conversion kits for AF steam, even
though I suggested it as a solution to some folks. At the moment, I don't think
you can find a detail kit to improve the AM pacific, although I think SSL&S did
offer one at some point, never mind OOP Flyer engines. Even in HO and O, you
will not find a lot of listings that explain which models the parts can be used
on, the makers leave it up to you to figure out which parts you need and what
size for things like boiler fronts - measure for what you need and ask the
maker for dimensions of his part if he doesn't provide them.
