I have posted photos of two pre-WWII S Scale America tank cars in the photo 
folder entitled "Dick Karnes' Layout.  They are the last two (Nos. 25 and 26) 
in 
the folder.

This car comes with stick-on  flammability placards that are circa 1980.  Car 
is 
as purchased, ready  to run, with Kadee 802 couplers added.  It has a 
factory-installed weight inside the dome.

It's a similar SSA car, this one built from a kit from the Larry  Jackman days 
of SSA. Short side sills and Stewart (Ye Olde Huff and  Puff) tank car end 
sills 
have been added. Adapting the chasis to accept the end sills is not a trivial 
task!  Couplers are Kadee 802. The  peel-and-stick 1940-era placards shown on 
this car are available from BTS. The current  r-t-r version of this car is 
coupled to the right.
