Bob, that's a very interesting story.  I was also on assignment once for 
Exxon Chemical and their employee magazine.  Our thrust of the story was 
along that line in regards to most RR's running through the middle of 
small towns.  I photographed the rail yard, kids playing and old folks 
on the porches.  They didn't publish the rail yard.  Obviously it was a 
'feel good' piece to instill confidence in transporting all those nasty 
chemicals and petroleum products.  However, just last night I caught a 
new report of citizens in Baytown Tx (near Houston) which is the home of 
Exxon/Mobil major refinery.  A lawsuit mentions several million 
(pounds/tons??) of stuff released into the air--so you never know.
