Don,
While I realize there is some goofing in your post that fact that NCE does not make running a locomotive without a decoder possible has NEVER been an issue for me. It was only a problem for about 2 months when I first bought some decoders and had not planned on getting my system yet. By the time the decoders were installed (I did not do the first 2) I had my ProCab system -problem resolved. I don't even know how many locomotives I have. All are not DCC equipped yet, but I surely have MANY that are that I can see run. Maybe things have changed a bit but one of the first times I saw a non-equipped loco running on DCC it made some rather scary singing noises. That is not for me anyway. So if that is all ya got for taking shots at NCE have at it. I am very happy with their products and **especially** their service. The only thing I have seen in another manufacturer that I find interesting is the Digitrax 2 cab handle. It really is a great item if you are running a train with head end power and helpers on different addresses.
