That is my question: NOW AM sells completely assembled cars in EITHER scale or
AF, but at one time one could buy kits either way,
and my recent purchase, which had the scale wheelsets in the same plain brown
envelope with the other parts--not just their scale
dummy couplers and draftgear, but also the corner steps--caused me to wonder
whether even earlier the kits came with both.
