Jace,

Please consider what you get when you talk about cost, the micro-scale kits
include a lot of detail items (gas pumps, signs, outside light fixtures, etc)
that don't come with other kits and you should also consider the quality of the
kit itself, these are high quality products.

I wondered the same. Another problem might be that switch towers are a limited
interest item; I bought a similar
kit (by Model Tech of a B&O prototype, which sells for about the same money),
and it is very nice, but if I hadn't
gotten it at an attractive price from another list member, I doubt I would have
bothered, as shortlines and branchlines
didn't need them. Even those modeling larger operations don't need very many,
and for what his kit costs, most of
us might want to spend that on a structure that is more general.

Except perhaps for fairly famous kinds of structures, I'd think the greater
demand would be for smallish industrial
and commercial prototypes, the kind that justify a siding (like the Sunkist
packing house, which can be used for other
purposes--as I intend--and moreover is a low-profile structure).
