That's a significant difference between camps.  I love scale model
railroading.  Any scale that met my requirements was in the running.  S was
arrived at by careful selection.  Anything other than scale is of no interest
to me whatsoever.  In fact, I found the Flyer stuff in SG painful to look at.
So much so that I never renewed.

The S Gaugian is arguably the Model Railroader of S scale. It tries to cover
all aspects of S except for Sn3 because HH has another pub for that. I submit
articles to the SG because it's nice to reach the sizable readership that they
enjoy relative to the other S pubs. I admit that it's an ego thing. I've been
on 4 of their covers over the years and it's been extremely satisfying to see
them. They do sit on "scale" oriented articles for a while because most of
their readers are of the highrail/AF persuasion. I've also been on the cover of
the 1:64 magazine and have submitted an article to them. To me S is S. AF,
highrail, scale or Sn3: I love 'em all.
