It sure would.

And that would hurt the S suppliers who BUY ads in a magazine with no real
interest in S, wasting advertising dollars in a bad economy that gets them
nothing in return.

Would not be fair to people like Don Thompson, AM and other S manufacturers to
be mis-lead thinking the readership would be interested in their products.

Please don’t complain about magazines not putting articles in their magazine
about S since we do not take a survey.

I still do not understand why one would not answer the question about what
magazine one reads.

Want harm is that to one?

So be it.

If we “vote early and vote often” will the distorted numbers influence our S
suppliers to pay for advertising in “MRH”?

Ed,

Most of my email, was just in fun, that part about how you riuned the survey by
not answering the magazine part since you took the survey. That was mainly a
joke, not to be taken too seriously.

Does not matter if a subscriber or not, is taking the survey, reads it or not,
the key reason for the survey is about magazines readership for them. They want
to know they are in the world of RR magazines.

It is a marketing tool for them to also figure out where to gear the magazine
for the most buck, the readership.

They are not going to post a article about S, for example if no one is
interested in S to make it worth attracting people to BUY the magazine. Same
for any other scale.

Surveys cost money to put out too.

Don’t retake the survey, that is your wish,

But if you want them to know that you are interested in S, for this magazine,
then do retake it.

Again the survey was ABOUT reading magazines, what you do nor do not, including
scanning them, as I am not sure you understand this.

Not trying to get into a argument. But trying to explain to you what surveys
are all about.

I am NOT a subscriber and have read only the issue that had my layout in it.

I do NOT read that magazine already. Why is that so hard to accept?

> So you ruined the entire scope of the survey

Because I do not read THEIR magazine, I ruined THEIR survey? The logic here
escapes me. Then again, I have missed a lot over the years.

>but it is true.

If it makes someone happy, then it is true. Who am I to dispute the truth?

But I don't want to retake it.

I already told you how I answered the magazine part. I was forced to state an
untruth. Do I need to repeat that also? I lied!!

If the survey can be retaken, let's ALL of us retake it about 100 times and
really put S scale on the map! Ya want promotion? Here is how to get it! Of
course the survey does not distinguish between AF, hi-rail, scale or anthing
inbetween (flange size, coupler type, rail height, turnout motorizing
preferences, etc.) that might be meaningful to the S community.
