All;
Another way of helping to promote S scale is by attending annual Railroad
Prototype Modeling meets. (RPM) These events are being held in many states
at various times of the year. There is even a Yahoo group for RPM.
These events are more or less a "show n tell" of our models. No, this is not
a contest. Even if you have something that isn't complete, bring it to
stimulate conversation.
Below is an email announcing this years event in Northern N.J.
Jeff S.

Greetings all;

Well, it's time to shrug off the cold, rain and snow and start thinking
about the first Saturday in October. That's right, the NEFF RPM, sponsored
by the Somerset County 4H Scale Modelers Club, will once again be held on
the first Saturday in October, which so happens to be October 1st this year.

Last years' meet went very well, thanks to all of you who made time to come
out on a beautiful early fall day. Everybody had a good time it seemed, and
our model display was near bursting at the seams, as we all seemed to be
after lunch. We even had to scramble to add more tables. That's not a bad
thing at all. Again, our grateful thanks to all who brought models and
participated.

So, this is just notice to mark your calendars for Saturday, October 1,
2011, for the 4th annual NEFF RPM. We will again be in the 4-H Center in
Bridgwater, NJ; more details are on the homepage, and more details will be
forthcoming as plans firm up. New this year, we will be taking
pre-registrations which will offer a small discount. Details will be
announced very soon.

In the meantime - if you have a presentation or clinic you would like to
give, we would like to hear from you. If you can open your layout for tours
on Friday evening or Sunday afternoon, we would like to hear from you. If
you have any suggestions at all, we would like to hear from you. These meets
are the very hard work of a few people who do this because they love to
build better models, but it is the attendees, clinicians and vendors that
really are the best part of any meet, and we can't do it without you, so
don't be shy, step up and tell us what you've got, and join in the fun.

Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you, and seeing you all on
October 1st!
