Despite all my recent posts on AF conversions, I spent a very pleasant couple
of hours Saturday (and I have pretty much figured out what to do
and how to do it most efficiently to get it down to two hours or so) assembling
a new ACF kit. During the current Oddballs Decals sale I ordered
a couple of DM&E lettering sets (the local railroad where I am at present) and
am looking for some cheap ACF covered hoppers to put them on.
Trucks not necessary, if anyone has extras they are contemplating putting on
the market. Particular lettering not important, obviously.
I'd prefer to do that to stripping the extra NMRA Canandaigua Southern
special-paint schemes I bought from the sale last fall (I only wish I'd
bought more, but the rest of you benefited from my self-restraint). Or perhaps
swap the CS cars for other schemes.
