Reg Bilodeau's layout was on the layout tour at 1976 National Convention in 
Ottawa.  My recollections include a movie made with a little movie camera 
(was there "video" in 76?) on a flatcar pushed around the layout and a 
roundhouse with internal over-head lighting.  One bulb had burned out and 
rather than trying to get his hands inside to change the bulb, he had put in 
an S scale man on an S scale stepladder, about to change the bulb.

And there was a lot more impressive stuff.
