The one amp rating is the problem. I haven't had any problem with this, but I 
know others have after installing several lights in a large locomotive.

The other issue for some is that the non-sound decoders have new models coming 
out every year with new features, some of which may provide better motor 
control. The Tsunami generation interval is pretty long, since they are more 
intent on creating new sound possibilities. Like you, though, I don't see any 
difference in practice.
