Mike:

I use Kadee #5 couplers on most of my rolling stock.For the past couple of 
years I have used Walthers ProtoMax couplers, part #920-6000 and variations. 
They are Kadee clones, only a little larger that Kadees but mate with them or 
SHS, and the price is right.
