Like Bob I have not noticed any centering issues. I do always mount these
couplers using the "wing" holes, not the center hole. Not sure, but could that
center mounting restrict movement a bit and cause the issue?? That is just a
guess from 500 miles away but it is the only thing I understand as a difference
in how you are using them. Maybe Bob uses the center hole too, don't know...
