I agree with Bill, although many of the recent posts have been more informational than negative.
If you REALLY want to see this project happen, write directly to John and Jim. See if they are willing to let you lead, and if Jim is willing to make the car if you get enough paid reservations. Start collecting money, posting your own notices here, in the magazines like Dispatch, S 3/16th, S Gaugian. Find out how many you need, set up an account to hold money as it comes in. To make it easier (or if you are wondering what the fuss is about), John still has the web site he made to promote the car up here: http://www.trainweb.org/seaboard/SALRoundRoofBoxCarProject.htm So you can refer people to it.
