The SAL car project was a good idea, but that project plus producing anything else in S has turned into another great big S Soap Opera. Someone else is guilty before anything gets done.
Collect a deposit that is returnable (less postage). Omnicon had my good faith deposit of $862.00 for a Pennsy J. And still has it. (I heard they are now in Mexico) ----- Original Message ----- From: Bill Lane To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, April 13, 2011 9:46 AM Subject: {S-Scale List} Cancelled project/Judge Judy at 4 John Armstrong Perhaps the best way to make an S Scale project happen is to CANCELL it. It has made the "residents' at the S Scale Happy Home angry and bang their canes and rattle their walkers for DAYS now demanding Judge Judy at 4:00 after management cancelled the cable for LACK OF INTEREST. Clearly what we have here is a failure to communicate. As I have said MANY times "I want" email makes nothing but email. Money talks and the rest is ignored. There was no "send deposits" announced for the SAL car to the best of my knowledge. Further there is no emotion here or the bettering of S scale involved for Jim King. It is a business - plain and simple. No slight or anything else intended with that. If Jim would consider a 1 month "deposit send in time" perhaps he can find where he left his box of S Scale project motivation. It is your time to shine and make it happen or **shut up**. Of course I meant that is the kindest sense possible. To be very blunt the grinding on negativity for days is way too much for me to take. In the grand scheme of what is happening around us having a new boxcar or not is not a big deal. If it bothers you that much write a big check to make it happen or move on.
