Bob,

I used the PBL rubber air hoses on my SMMW B&O M53 boxcar, which you 
have seen at the recent shows. I painted the top part (the valve, I 
believe), but left the hose part the original color. See about a third

Also, B.T.S. has brass air hose valves with separately applied rubber 
hoses. I like those too. I used them on the RS-1 I recently completed.

I like both of them. The PBL ones are all rubber so they can take quite 
a hit and still be OK, but they are a bit harder to install (since the 
whole part is flexible when you trying to place it in the hole). The 
B.T.S. ones are solid except for the hose, so they aren't as crash-proof.
