Many years ago, one of our members did some reasonably thorough research
on making flat kits. He produced a few kits of a door+1/2 SP autobox.
One was built up and won a contest in a prior NASG contest. Most of the
parts, despite updated methods, were really excellent pieces. I have
one yet to build--those type kits are like fine wine, requiring the
proper aging! The individual had numerous kits in mind to build, but he
didn't want to become Al Westerfield either!
