One can learn some cool stuff from you guys.  I just happen to have a
Locomotive Engineer fruit box end, also for Nalbandian, although the blue flag
to the left of the loco illustration is not labelled for any particular kind of
produce.  I found mine at a garden centre in St Catharines, Ontario in the
Niagara Peninsula.  They were using the box as a plant flat so I asked if I
could buy it and they gave it to me.  The label is now part of my model
railroad decor.

Some further history:

The Locomotive Engineer

behind Locomotive Engineer brand fruitThe Locomotive Engineer

fruit label is an example of advertising art that is collected by many

today. But few know that the man behind the label was once an engineer on

the Erie. Thomas Mouradick was an Armenian emigrant who worked for the

Erie running coal trains between Cleveland and Randall, OH in the early

1900s. After many years of service with the Erie, he went west and hired

on with the Santa Fe before becoming a fruit grower and shipper near Lone

Star, CA. A successful grower, Mouradick shipped many carloads of fruit to

eastern markets over the Erie.
