Howdy!

     The NC&StL and L&N apparently had both 34 and 36 foot FOWLER boxcars.  Am
getting confirmation from L&N Historical Society with photos.  Will post the
research when available.

    Having purchased one of the 36' kits, they are not for the faint of heart.
They lack instructions (actually refer to an HO Westerfield kit) and no key for
etched parts sheet.
Will build it and let you all know how it goes.

      Hi Bill, Jace;

Yes, a number of railroads including CNW, Soo, Rock Island and Rio Grande
(standard gauge) had "Fowler" cars, but most were 40' while the CP and CN cars
that are offered in S currently are 36 ft. Both Canadian types were pretty
common, and made it to the U.S. frequently, so lettering them for their
intended owner shouldn't be an issue in terms of them remaining useful on a
U.S. prototype layout.
