Dear John,
I finished the artwork for a CNJ RDC lettering. This is a project
I have been putting off for 24 years (damn you SHS...). I am
wondering is anyone has installed DCC in one of these and if they did
any modifications? I am not a big fan of 4 wheel vs. 8 wheel pickup
and wonder if anyone attempted to add this? Also, I can see that the
outer coating of varnish has worn off in spots where the model was
handled. Is it best to remove the rest of this layer, or just add
more??? I am not sure if interior lights would be a plus as the two
motor with unpainted brass flywheels would be even more noticeable.
From the color photos I have it seems that the shades are either gray
or a very light graylike blue. I will use that in an attempt to make
the motors less obvious. I am not sure if I want to add illuminations
for the numberboards as they are so small. The same for the
classlights on the end.
Any suggestions?
