Good morning,
My FNF was spent casting resin coal loads (24 of them) for my unit coal porter
train. If you have never done any resin casting I would highly reccomend
trying it. This stuff is model railroad in a bottle! I made a master,
produced the mold (about 15 minutes), and started casting away(about 10 minutes
for each load start to finish). I have found that I can get about 10 loads
cast out of 32 ounces of 2 part resin. Micro-Mark sells a colorable resin so
the loads are already colored black and with some spray adhesive and a little
dunk in the coal they look really good!
