The NMRA does provide a very good system of liability coverage for 
members and 100% clubs.  As a member of our local San Jacinto Model RR 
Club, which is 100% NMRA, our annual show is covered, my open house is 
covered along with 60+ layouts in the area.  Our club used to have to 
spend several thousand per show for a 1-2 day show.  It's pretty much a 
non-issue now.
