  Hi Roger, If they have a secure and stable large layout space in the LA area 
they have a great asset. The population pool and railroad history of the area 
should make it easy to recruit new members to build a new layout.With the right 
approach even a small core of energetic guys could get a lot done and attract 
new blood from other scales. Finding the long term space in a city is the big 
thing to overcome so hopefully these guys have that solved? Regards, DaveBranum
