Well, as an S scale veteran now. (I think it's been 4-5 years?), I find that I
already have regrets.
* I regret not purchasing more undecorated NW2's from SHS when they were
available.
* Same for SW9's. (Think those were already gone before I was into S scale,
though.)
* Regret not buying the SHS Missouri Pacific F's when they were still available.
* Wished I had more money to buy up stuff that I saw and liked (as in the
above), and now can't be had.
Moral: SPEND while you can! :-)
