Andre, very sweet old film. I caught sight of an F unit or two and even Northern Pacific paint on a loco. Thanks for posting it!

There was an interesting "feel" to the old clip. (ca. 1981). Along this line of thought: One of my all-time favorite "documentary/informational/promotional" railroad-related films was the BN's "Portrait Of A Railroad" from the early 70's. It had an excellent "feel" to it, and was overall just a really good film for a train nut. It also contained, what I thought, was a very good original music score. I'm not a BN fan to speak of, but it is a good video. Addendum: Just found the series on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzRIVVcV4rQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ub78vWY51M&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye5ALfmwgqU&feature=related Well worth the watch.
