Assuming the mess in China has not made it impossible, at least Lionel has the 
research for correct freight cars from their O scale line,
even if that means cutting new dies.  Since SHS has imported both two and three 
bay PS-2's for any AF buyers, however, that might
not be worth their attempting in S scale;probably also not the AAR twins.  
Lionel has made some very nice PS-4 flatcars (including some with TOFC 
trailers) and PS-5
gondolas.  Since there has never been a mass-market PS-1 in S scale, and the 
Lionel O scale ones are very well-done, that would be an obvious
choice for them.
