 That might have been correct. I played on these cars in the 50's and they were 
pretty rough. They had to chink the cracks with old clothes before loading them 
with sand. When the cars returned to Felton empty the old clothes would be 
hanging off the open drop doors so the local SP tracks were littered with old 
jackets, pants, and dresses...DaveBranum
