Make it a Fairmont speeder  and I'm in for at least one.

But as for what Butch said (siderquoted below) about it be ing a tight squeeze
in S scale... well, maybe not... expecially when you con what Railflyer
Model Prototypes has accomplished in HO scale : Individually powered AXLES on
HO trucks with separate motors that actually resemble real traction motors!
See for yourself in the following videos:

There are other videos on YouTube about these motors, so check them out, too.
If this can be done in HO, surely it can be done in S.

And just think of all  the room it would free up insi de the shell and fuel
tanks for DCC/Sound/Speaker combos!!!

I think it's a great idea! A powered speeder in S scale?  Yes!

Rich Yoder offered one in "O" several years back that used a powered trailing
car to push the speeder. Looked great running around on club layouts at
shows!!!  Always got a lot of oohs and aaahs whenever it was running.

It was pretty tight squeezing everything in, in O scale, so I imagine you'll
have some challenging times ahead.
