I don't recall what the organization made in profit but I know they were not 
money losing projects.  Remember, the reason for the ACF Covered Hopper project 
was to get models built to the "new" NASG wheel standards into people's hands!  
We did not intend to lose money doing that, but it was not the primary reason...

Dan and I (RRM) imported the Milwaukee Road 40' cars in two versions, one with 
Youngstown and one with Superior doors.  NASG had no projects at the time so we 
offered the entire run of Youngstown door versions to NASG to be sold to their 
members; so in a way it was a risk free project for the NASG...
