What happened to the NASG "United" sentiment?

That slogan may have been valid when a few MODELLERS like Ed Schumacher,
Claude Wade, Bernie Thomas, & Frank Titman decided to semi-formalize them
selves into the National Association of S Gaugers (uninc). I doubt they
sought out or felt anything in common with American Flyer collectors, even
though they used AF cars, locos, &c, as a basis for the models they made.
Today no one with an IQ above room temperature really takes it serious.
It's just the politically correct thing to throw out when talking about the
Association - as distinct from talking about either modelling or collecting.
