Seems like people's frustrations with all things (other than trains) made in China is flowing over into the MRR market now. I, for one, have NEVER had anything worth having (aside from trains) that was made in China... electronics expecially. And I cannot tell you how many times I have had to fix my children's China-made toys. Generally speaking Chinese merchandise is just plain CRAP... on stehroids.
But apparently they can make decent trains, so I guess they have something going for them... Dear Ed, Please, it is not a Chinese situation, but a Kader Industries situation. And, I am sure Kader Industries regret purchasing Sanda Kan from the Asian division of JP Morgan that ran the largest, most profitable model railroad and toy mfg. into the ground. The Chinese employees working at Sanda Kan produced some of the nicest model trains in every scale. I think it is a mistake to blame over a billion people for the actions of a few corporate leaders in Hong Kong... Don > .....but the Chinese "situation" set back the RTR part of the S market.
