I have used brake fluid and alcohol on plastic models for years with no
detramental effects. I have also used super clean(Draino) with varing success.
Some paint like the stuff on AHM ore cars defy removal. Some cars from Austria
are not easy to strip. I have used all three chemicals inorder to get the job
done. I don't know about SHS cars etc.

Try Super Clean, Google on line, available at Ace Hardware.

Will take off paint and not harm plastic, at least paint like Floquil.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Stripping SHS shells

I've need to strip paint from some SHS F7 shells and wondered what works best
or well in this situation. I've used everything from 91% rubbing alcohol to
brake fluid on brass models in the past, but not on plastic and don't want to
harm the shells. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Butch
