I was there when Stan built them. Now I'm not sure about the SMMW Waffle box
cars. I know Jim and Stan worked closely with one another and I thought
these were SMMW models. But Stan did have "Trainstuff" kits too. He raided
my "Trainstuff" for kits, also for parts and decals, in trade for one of
Stan's modified AM 50' Railbox box cars.
I'm attaching the underbody view of the box car, maybe that will help?
I'm pretty accurate on my image dates and if I had 6/27/2004 on the image,
that is when I photographed it at Stan's home. (I know that by the table
top.) If that was a "Trainstuff" kit, kudos's again to Stan, a marvelous
modeler.
I sure do miss him.
