Dear Dave,
If I remember correctly, the car was freshly painted. I took lots of flat
photos to help with the decals. The car was in a small yard that the Ford
plant in Edison, NJ used. I contacted the car builder and I think they told me
that 6 to 8 other railroads were using the same car (the old days when mfgs.
did not try to shake down builders for licensing fees). At that time, we were
making both current equipment as well as steam era offerings. We had a lot of
fun coming out with a new car body (not roadname) every other month. I met a
lot of people on this e-group during that time.
