Hello Stephen and welcome! You have chosen a most fascinating era to model, and a very unique subject. Looking forward to any pictures you may post.
I'm a sucker for the TOC19 (Turn Of the 19th Century) era as well. Although I do my TOC19 modeling in V scale, reserving S scale for my diesel sickness. I model in S and Sn3. My main focus is the Kansas Central which was a narrow gauge line from Leavenworth to Holton Kansas and eventually a bit beyond. I have set my layout in the heyday of the line 1871-1885 and it interchanges with the Standard Gauge ATSF and MP. By nessisity almost everything is scratchbuilt. Fopr the narrow gauge there are pleanty of sources for parts but I found dificulty in finding early s gauge rolling stock ca 1880 or even trucks etc. Thanks for all the information so far Stephen Allie ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
