I just posted a couple of pics of my Bowser 24" tt to the Photos folder under 
Arden.

I bought it about 20 years ago. Just stuck it in my benchwork a couple months 
ago. It was supposed to be ready for the July tour but my health did not allow 
that or many other things. 

The only choice was the diameter which is just enough for a Big Boy in S. The 
pit is a little deep (O scale) but I filled it with a 1/2" white foam which you 
might be able to see. Then I am going to taper fill it up to the top of the 
ring rail. My depth of girder will be 1-1/4". A 96' would be 3/4 of that. One 
inch would look good to me.
