Ed,
Sounds like Rich and myself were just trying to clear up some left out details.
No harm intended. Sond like the scale guys are scaired to voicewhat they want
from Loinel as far as "S" goes. Sounds like the High rail guys are doing just
that. My oppinion again , no hard feelings. I have larned alo from the scale
guys and the layouts that I have seen.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Re: Lionel Is Seeking Input From S Scalers

Rich....

This is exactly my point. Without a helpful volunteer like you, we would never
have heard about this inquiry from Lionel.

Suggesting Lionel make direct contact with us instead of via intermediaries is
what I was suggesting. That way, if a helpful volunteer (like you) is not
around, we can still get the message from Lionel. I don't think it is a bad
idea and am confused as to why some guys think it is unfriendly or unwarranted
or whatever.

All Jon needs to do is create an "S List" on his email system and one push of
the button sends his message to all of us on all the various S lists. John
Degnan says there are over 30+ on Yahoo Groups alone not to mention the S Sig
and others. Still sounds like a good idea to me.

Why is there such resistance to a helpful idea? It sounds like you and Alan
are upset merely for my proposing it.

In any event and regardless, thanks for passing the message along. Do
appreciate it.

Please note that I never said "we shouldn't be bothered" or anything along
those lines. Constrain that imagination a bit. You and Alan must be eating
the same candy bars these days.

I did state that direct contact with customers is preferable to using
intermediaries. I still think that is a good concept.

Cheers...Ed L.

PS: I have never shown any negativity toward Lionel. Check the archives and
you will see. I will be encouraging them to take a ride down the scale track.
Rest assured about that.
