I second the motion; I have standardized on phosphor bronze wire from CMA 
(bought out by Tichy) for a number of years; it is stronger and generally 
straighterthan brass of a similar size and solders far more easily than steel 
(nor does it rust).

Bob, Are all other participants in this discussion named Bob?!? (:->) My 
progression was originally brass wire, then steel for a few years and now 
phosphor bronze wire for the past 15 or so years. In my opinion steel is better 
that brass but P B is **much** better than them all. Try it you will like it! I
