The only real locomotive* to work at the prototype Valdez Terminal was an ARR
GE 45 ton #7324.
As far as I know, no `S'-manufacturer produces the 45 ton (though if I'm wrong,
please tell me).
There is a GE 45 ton in ON30;
HTTP://WWW.RICHYODERMODELS.COM/RYM_45TON_RESERVE.HTM
To clarify; The models are shown in ON30, but the site claims that they are
only available in `O'.
I plan on e-mailing the owner of this site to ask if these models are available
in ON30 and to ask all other questions necessary to see if these engines would
work as standard Gauge `S' engines.
Having never converted an ON30 engine to `S', I'm not sure what questions to
ask.
Could you guys please help me figure out what I should ask this seller to see
if this engine could be easily converted into an `S' scale engine?
*At various times, the Valdez Terminal was also serviced by a Whiting
Trackmobile, a CF-55-AF Aircraft Tug equipped with a coupler, and a CAT front
end loader also equipped with a coupler. If any of you know where I might find
a model of a Trackmobile or a CF-55-AF Aircraft Tug, I'd be interested in these
as well.
