Hi all --
Ken’s layout must look like Frankenstein’s monster the way he builds and
tears down to rebuild! I noticed it was MARILYN's Sawsall he was using...
This week saw (FINALLY after 7 years!) the west end storage track turnout
controls installed in their finished version. All is now easily accessible
and understandable. I also decided to do more black paint on the 4-8-2 –
driver and wheel tires are all black now. The white walls and darkened side
rods (factory) just didn’t go together, and the blue-green boiler is gaudy
enough without all the other colors and striping. Lastly, the narrow gauge
line down form Coal Creek is coming together, though it won’t be operational
for at least a year while scenery is completed in the NW corner of the
layout.
