Pre-WWII the cars were Pullman with gold lettering (and no REA diamond herald, 
IIRC). By the late 1940's they were a dark green, with no olive tone. I checked 
that Railway Express Modeler group, and one post mentioned Vic Roseman's 
suggestion of "Floquil dark green 110040 and a "few" drops of SP Scarlet 
red/orange". Since Vic was not specifically matching the Kinsman car, I don't 
know if that is a workable formula, but it might be a start. "Hunter green" was 
also mentioned, but that is usually too dark in my opinion.
